Hello everyone.
I was just browsing the net and my eye was caught by references to St Martins flats. I lived there from 1950 to 1963 with my parents and three siblings. We all attended St Michaels RC secondary modern in Digbeth. School was good for religion and boxing, I wasn,t much cop at either. I played football for a couple of local teams Balsall Heath Casuals being one I remember.
Discovered girls about 1958 and started to go to the Casino in town and a little dance hall off the Stratford Rd. Also the Ritz, I think it was, in Kings Heath. Rocking and rolling , happy days.
