REID, Frederick William

katiesmith24

proper brummie kid
This is my great grandfather. I have found all the military information on him: Enlisted 22-1-1900, transferred to AR??? 21-1-1908, Mobilised 5-8-1914, Killed in action 16-5-1915. He enlisted in Birmingham and on his death his personal effects were forwarded to his wife, Lily at Devonshire Place, Alfred Street, Aston. However, I am consistently drawing a blank with trying to go back any further and find out his parents and where he was born etc etc.

Would appreciate any advice

Thanks

Just looking at your other thread and wondered if the info. found wasn't the right family.

Don't want to look and come up with the same if they are not the right ones.

The post from 2nd April by smtr was the right person. She found a next of kin as his father, Thomas William and found all the children and their date of births and she was able to give me a rough date of birth but even with all that info i still can't find him or Thomas on any of the census' apart from the latest one!

Following up on the post from April 2nd,would this be the family in 1891?

No, unfortuantely this isn't the right family unless the william is actually frederick william and the Reed is actually reid. I'm just not convinced this is the right one, but it's the only one that seems to come up!
