Reeve family

My grandfather was Edwin Reeve, builder and decorator, of 55 Islington Row later somewhere in Harborne. My uncle Norman Edwin Reeve was a partner in Reeve and Stedeford car dealers in Broad St. Any info on earlier Reeve family in Birmingham would be appreciated. Edwin Reeve's father was Charles Reeve.

Father, Charles was listed as a paper hanger and the later a furniture dealer. Mother, Elizabeth Madeley was born in Gnossall.

Charles, father was James Reeve, a tailor, born 1787 Docking, Surrey. In 1841 they were living on Colmore St.

Mother was Ellen Harris born Albrighton. James & Ellen married 29 May 1825. James was a widower.

James probably the son of David & Elizabeth.

Sometime listed as Reeves.
