Can't seem to find definate marriages for the children, nor do they seem to be on the electoral roll (other than same name females with male at same address, presumably husband so 'Rea' by marriage only)

Can't find them in the electoral roll, but it's only up to 1955 yet.

Could it be this family?

Hello hitman ...welcome to the site...I have not come across the names of Sydney & Albert Rea in regards to the Rea family I am researching. Do you know the names of the parents of these chaps you have mentioned? The Rea family I am seeking had parents called Frances Edith Colley/Rea & Robert Rea...do this couple appear in your family tree????

Regards,
Margaret

Hi Margaret

Yes they are the parents of Sydney and Albert too Frances eidth Rea nee colley and Robert Edwin Rea are my 2nd great grandparents. On my dads side. I wasnt aware that they had more kids until i found what you had, If you would like any info i have on Sydney and Albert Im more than happy to share..
thanks Tony

Hello Tony, I would be most interested in hearing any info you have on this family. I have now taken a good look on the censuses & found quite a lot of info on them. Do you have access to the census yourself ? If not I can easily let you have the info. I am not closely related to the Rea family, the connection is from Frances Edith Colley/Rea marrying my great Uncle in 1912 & I believe they had at least 5 children...so as you can see your family is expanding rapidly !!! I look forward to sharing info with you....

Regards,
Margaret.

just read a article in the sunday mercury by brian tarry it reflected my life in and around aston park and the serpentine ground in the early 50,s late 40,S welived in holte road a very short walk from both and villa park most of my child hood was spent in all three we spent most of our time playing on the what i would call the fairground the serpentine the serpentine being a great place for football and cricket being flat but dirty and true we could play all day and night if we wanted but aston park then was resticted by park keeper, telling to keep of the grass so close to villa park but no football pitches you could play tennis bowls and cricket if you had money to pay the fee,s in saying all that i would not change any of my memmories enough for now j harris
