Quinton factory ?

Hope this is correct place to ask........I was trying to find out where a relative worked. In a Birmingham Mail snippet it says Bulpitt and sons....I have looked all through threads on here and couldnt find what I wanted. I have a reason to ask if they had some premises around Quinto/Woodgate area as person lived here and I thought it would be hard to go to Hockley to work in 1939/40. In the 39 register she wasnt working there but died in hospital a year later and worked in packing.
Really just want to know if there was an outlet/factory in this area....thanks
This is the Bhb73917cf-d6cd-4308-9bf8-ba63b4a71c6a.jpgam mail cutting for reference.

Do you have any other evidence that she worked at Bulpitt & Son because I would say that the snippet doesn't specifically say that she did. If she worked in packing then maybe she worked for Richard Lunt.

On the subject of how easy it was to get to Hockley from Quinton, tram possibly down the Hagley Road.

YES......THANKS both......I had thought about Lunt and found a Lunt Grove but it didnt look likely to have been a factory here at that time.....and her younger niece might have worked there as she was in 39 register as a Hand Press Worker.....I know hand press work was being done around Hockley (RE: Katherine Dayus).
Didnt know trams went down Hagley Road so yes it could all tie in.
The poor girl in question was just 20 and passed on through respiratory trouble.....

I cant find any reference for a Richard Lunt factory in Quinton but piecing things together ( with no evidence) I see she and her Mother were "charing" in 39 and could have cleaned The Punch Bowl and Lunts but its all just guessing.

I notice that her death seems to have been registered in Coventry - have you seen her death cert? I just wondered if she lived there because of her work or if she just happened to die there.

Looking at the electoral roll for 1939 , this gives a Beatrice Butcher living with a Leonard Butcher in Ely Grove, which was quite close to Firsby Road. Would this be the same person? If so, then the 1935 rolls show her living with Leonard in Carver St, which would have been fairly close to Bulpitts

Yes we thought it strange that its got Coventry as the place...but on Death Cert it says Coventry and Warks Hospital U.D...I think it could be Selly Oak ?....looking again at the Death Cert it lists her as office cleaner so my earlier thought that she cleaned Pub and Works could be right....cant see how I missed it on the cert.
Hopeless at comp things but took a phone pic of cert and will try and put it on...it does say Coventry on it so more confused now.

If she was only 20 when she died she wouldn't have been on the eroll would she?

Deaths are registered where the person dies but usually give a home address as well (unless that started at a later date).

At Firsby in 39 she lived with her Mom Caroline and Moms 2nd husband (1st died in 1919) and Ivy May Butcher who is wifes Mom and Carolines GDaughter. The other Beratrice you mention is not related at all....there are so many with same names around its baffling.....and all had similar jobs as well....lol

In that case Mike's clip of the 1939 eroll shows her Mother and Stepfather at 56 Firsby but, of course, does not show Beatrice as she was too young.

She died in Coventry Hospital so must either have been taken there for some reason or been in Coventry when she was taken ill.
