Yes absolutely a mistype. He was born in 1905.A slight misstype I think. Was he born in 1895 or 1905?
He lived in Great Barr and my mom says he was cremated at Perry Barr but I’ve never been able to find such info officially.Born 1905 Smethwick.
Can't see a burial/cremation on any of the Bham cemeteries. As he appears tohave live in Great Barr maybe Perry Barr crem.
What other info are you looking for? Can see him in 1911 and 1921 when he is with his widowed father and grandparents.
Grandfather was a grocer and father was listed as a wholesale grocer's traveller in 1911.

I’m off tomorrow so will give them a try and yes I’ll let you know. His past has baffled my mom & I, I wasn’t born and mom was 21 when he passed so she doesn’t have much memory and bizarrely she doesn’t have any personal belongings or many photos of him. We just don’t know a lot about him.as said earlier try perry barr its the obvious one if he lived in gt barr...they will be able to tell you and also tell you the spot where his ashes are as it was in the 60s it could be his ashes were scattered to the wind on the small lawn...good luck and please let us know how you get on

Yeah that all sounds right. Starting to make those jigsaw pieces fit. I’ve just found his mother’s burial records for 26/12/1915. He was only ten when he lost her. I might go visit her grave with my mom. There is a Reginald William Pursell, living with a William Pursall on the electoral rolls in 1927. In 1930 they and Winifred Purcell are at 158 Putney Road .
