Pump Inn Soho Road Handsworth

Hi Lyn,

I remember The Pump! I met a friend there way, way back - he was a regular and we had a pint or several and a sausage sandwich. Bit of a dump, to be honest. According to what I just found on Google it's still there but closed.

Your photo looks like Nell just walked right into an invasion of Triffids.....

i am sure me and my sister called into the pump on the way to a west brom game..twas many moons ago though

Hi, any idea who Nel was? Looks so like my grandmother Nellie Smith (later Phillips), which would date this photo circa 1922-25. Duncan.

I believe the Pump Tavern is still standing, but like so many others of it's era now closed.

yes that looks like the one ive been in phil...would not surprise me if it was closed...i am now becoming used to it:(
