Thank you mikejee re 110 new summer street my grandfathers name was George Powers,

he was a beer retailer who lived there in 1889 my fathers DOB.was he a licencee in one of the pubs

localy. Kenneth . Powers.

George Powers is listed as below:
Not listed 1872, 1873
1876-80 , beer retailer, 27 Potter's hill, Aston park
Not listed 1882,1883, 1884, 1888
1890 beer retailer 108 New Summer St.
1892 beer retailer, 87 Summer lane
1895 beer retailer 104 William St, Islington Row
1897 Only George Powers is a coal dealer

I did look for Power as well, as sometimes this sort of name could be listed with or without the s, but no avail. I assume te earlier George is the same one, but of course he could be a different person
All of these places have ceased to be licensed by 1921. However , the 1901 census shows:
27 Potters Hill is the Plume of Feathers Tavern
106,108 New Summer St is The Vine
The 1881 census shows:
87 Summer lane was The Unicorn
Can’t find the name of 104 William St, though it is a pub, rather than an off licence, as occupier is listed as a retail brewer in the census
