Hi Im looking for any information on a pub my great grandfather owned 304 lichfield road aston. His name was Charles Young. The family lived there on the 1901 census, where he was stated as ower/publican. The pub was located opposite side of road to the swan and mitre, ? called the waterworks tavern, or the gate. It was turned into a postoffice in the 60s to 70s. Any info welcome

I was looking for a coroners verdict in the old newspapers for 1885, Louisa Tonks (my ancestor). The Inquest was held in the Church Inn, Lichfield Road, Aston. Maybe this is your pub ?
I'm trying to find a photo.
