If anyone requires a copy of probate of a will .They should go to The Priory Courts,33 Bull St
Its at the top end up from Dale End.The Probate Office is on the 3 floor.phone no 0121 681 3400
A very helpful young lady looked up the records on the office computer after I supplied the name
and year of death.I filled up a simple form and handed over £5.
That was on Tuesday.today Friday the records arrived in this mornings post.What good service!

Do you get a copy of the will as well?
I have previously used York and they can take an age (even when you give tem an exact date). I was considering trying Central Registry at Holborn, but if the will is available supploied if you make the request at Bull Street, I'll go there

Yes I had a copy of the will
It took only 3 days to arrive,although they warned me it would take some time.Perhaps I was lucky.

Brilliant service! Ordered last Friday, received this morning (Thurs) - no more 6 week waits for York to respond!
