I was a pupil there from the first day of opening September 1956 to 1959, Miss Aston was the headmistress, she was previously the head of City Road Girls school.

My wife in the late 50s remembers that school but she actual went to Camden Street all girls school while living in Ladycroft, Ladywood.

I remember Amy Aston, Mr.Probert, maths, Mr. Cross, english, Mrs. Cook, biology Mr. Jones carpentry and I think Miss Thompson for history.
There were four houses, Cavell, Curie, Scott, and Grenfell. I was in Grenfell although I'm still not sure who Grenfell was.

I think the art teacher was Patricia Clarkson, a couple more names Mr Abel - history, Mr Neale - science.

The only other female teachers I can remember were Mrs Maddison and Miss Thomson.

my father went there left in 59, his teachers were Mr Abel an Mr Goodenough

my dad remembers Mrs aston an Mr probert, he often talks about the school an would love some photographs of the school if anyone has any, he left in 59
