thanks mike i did wonder if it was the station pub but this is on a corner although it is in station st so im a little confused...here is todays view

Apparently The Station was there by 1880 and was originally called the Station hotel. The Railway Inn was presumably the one below named the Railway Tavern. Maybe it hcanged its name, also.

The police station and magistrates court were erected in 1888 at a cost of £2000.
