The 1911 census says they had 6 children by then with 2 dying. (May and Gladys).
Mabel and Olive also died in infancy
Very sad, it seems a lot of nchildren died in infancy back thenSorry - mistake on last post Mabel did not die in infancy - more about her later.
The sad burials of the children

Note - her sister Lilian is a witness.
In 1939 she was living in Stoneleigh Road There appears to be one child at that point living at home. Haven't searched for more children.

She appears to have died in 1981 - to be sure you would need to buy the death cert but the dob matches that on the 1939 reg.

HiAn all round wrong one
Billy was my great great Uncle I believe. His sister, Alice married my great great Grandad.Good Afternoon
I believe my great great grandad was William Henry ( Billy ) Plimmer, the first world champion boxer to come from Birmingham, i believe he was born in Willian Henry Street Aston in 1869 hence the name.
I know he won the world championship on 3 occasions in the USA firstly beating american boxer Spider Kelly in the 1890s
When he retired from boxing he came back to the UK & had a shop at 141 The Broadway in Witton, he lived & worked at the shop until his death in 1929 but i have no idea what he sold from the shop.
If anybody knows how to track records of ownership & what the shop sold i would be gratefull, also any old pictures of William Henry Street in Aston when their was still houses on it as now only the pub from these times is still standing.
Hi
My Grandad Desmond's Grandmother was Alice Plimmer, Billy's Sister.
Ah that was the one then, as my great great grandad was William Hutchins.I didn't think Billy Plimmer had a sister called Alice. He appears to have had an aunt called Alice, who married William Hutchins.
That is interesting, My first wife is from St Helena & was from Longwood where the Frenchmans house is, i visited there about 15 years ago.Interestingly, Alice Plimmer's grandfather (and Billy Plimmer's step great grandfather) was in the Royal Artillery and his 2 eldest children were born on St Helena at the time when Napoleon was exiled there.
Morning, is your family still in the Birmingham area ?Ah that was the one then, as my great great grandad was William Hutchins.
I live in Birmingham. Most of the other Hutchins' live in BromsgroveMorning, is your family still in the Birmingham area ?
He would have been 21 then & on his way to his heydays, great card, where did you get it from ?I just noticed the posts about boxer Billy Plimmer. I own an 1890 Mayo Cut Plug card featuring Billy Plimmer. It is a great card. I will attempt to attach pictures.
