My daughter has just left Tunisia - has been here for a WHOLE MONTH!!! Wonderful!!
Anyway, we'd been searching through the old photos and found the attached that needs a bit of cleaning up - can someone help to get what looks a a near burn mark off the face? Thanks!!mother Hedia.JPEG
 
Best I can do with a photo of a photo - if you have the original and can scan it as an RGB copy at 300dpi the outcome would be a lot better, regards, John.

It's a good thing to digitally capture your original photos. Both the photo paper and the chemical printing process will only last ~50 years even when taken care of, especially if not kept in the dark and dry (which defeats the point of a photo!)

Here I've adjusted the light levels and painted on colour. I may have gotten the skin tone wrong, but from memory, I think Tunisian people look Italian and I think the Maltese language is even based on Tunisian. Anyway, here's my try. Let me know if you'd rather have a black and white colour (I can accept I may have painted the wrong colours on in Lightroom)

Thanks to all three of you!! Yes Limes, your assumption (and treatment) of this tunisian photo is spot on!! the photo must be about 60 years old... it was the second wife of my fathere in law (I never met her), but my husband called her "his other mother" as she (couldn't have children) and the third wife (my hubbies mother) all lived in the same house! There you go, a bit of local history along with the photo
I know my daughter will be chuffed with this result, as she actually has all her old family photos on display - unlike me..yes, hidden in drawers!! :) !!!

I still need to find the phto of my gradmother taken in 1912... I have no ider wwhere the original is, but I know I'vr got it on my pc somewhere!! That's another one that needs a slight retouch..

Having just returned from a short holiday, I love this picture of my Daughter, but would it be possible to remove the strands of wispy hair from the top of her head.

I'm doing my ancestry tree, and my cousin has sent this pic of her grandparents wedding from 1924..... is there any chance of getting all the various creases out of it - then I could send it back to her as a surprise?!! Thanks guys!

Could one of our specialist magicians please remove the cups and plate from this picture and if possible remove the slight white glare in my glasses.
If the service you guys perform was chargeable, many like myself would not be able to afford the fee, and would own many substandard pictures. So thank you for your time, it is much appreciated, Pauline.
