Theres a postcard for sale on ebay, picture of the Picture Palace, Small Heath collapse in Feb 1914.

Not something I have heard of before, anyone on here know of it ?

Wont post the picture as its not fair on the person who wants £75 for it.
But the ebay item No. is 370320575824

Always worth a look on ebay for old pics, there are a lot on there of Coventry Rd as well just now.

I notice there is quite a good one (though reproduction on the site isn't very good) of Park Lane unionist & Labour cllub that I haven't seen before, if you;ve got £30 to spend

A good number of the postcards of Brum for sale on ebay have been posted on the forum. Len.

Hi, did anyone find out any info on this please? I've just found my dads Nan on the 1911 cencus and she was the cafe manageress at the Picture Palace so I would be interested in any info or pictures, thanks v much.

I am not completely sure about this, but there was a small picture house just past Muntz street in the middle of the block of shops on the left hand side on the main Coventry Road going out of town, could have been the Palace, when I last saw it in the hot weather in the 60s and the doors were open it had rows of sewing machines in there.
Regards Chris Bryan

There was a Small Heath Picture Palace at 271/3 Coventry road Small Heath.

Built in 1912 and renamed the Model in 1914

Closed 1932 and demolished
