I recently inherited a box of photographs dating from 1930s - 1940s perhaps into the 50s. All but three have no names, dates or locations on the back, so I haven't a clue as to who the subjects are. I think they are from my grandmorther's side but could be family members or friends or probably a mix.
Many of the photographs were taken by Percy Taylor in Handsworth and Harold Juggins in Lozells, so that's a clue but doesn't get me very far as I know that family lived in Aston from the 1890s. I've attached some of the pics, if you recognize any of your relatives, I have a box of photographs you might find interesting! The only names are Bill Seers (March 1941), Roma Farmer (there couldn't have been too many Roma's living in Aston), Allan & Gladys Marshall-Leach-Tomey
And I think it's a lesson to all of us interested in family history, make sure you write the appropriate information on the back of photos for future generations (and this discipline also nowadays applies to images on your phone and computer).
