Peter Phillips was key to the pop art movement but his home city of Birmingham hardly noticed.

He seems to have taught at Birmingham School of Art and Coventry School of Art in the 1960s. Expect he was regarded as quite a forward thinking art teacher at the time with the emerging pop art movement.

According to this 'conversation' he didn't much use the title of 'Pop Art' !
