Ho from Norway. I do not only own a Peter Marsh lamp, but I remember helping my fatthee putting them together. Obviously these were made on licence in othee countries and I would love to learn more about that. All these years U did not know that the frame came from England, only yesterday I discovered that the lamps my father welded tigether and insertet colorful chunky stones in, has Peter Marsh engraved. I never cut my fingers on the stones and wonder: is it real glass? I helped him as a child, as hundreds of contacts needed cable ... My late father had a firm late 60ies, early 70ies, and he kept one lanterne.

Greetings. I just bought 5 Peter Marsh lamps at an auction, and while i intend to keep them, I am am wondering what the value of such lamps are. Thanks for any guesstimates. Ed B

A quick look online seems to indicate £100 to over £300 each but prices vary.

Hi I am new to this Forum. I just purchased 2 pyramid
glass lamps but no stand. It would have been the same
one pictured by A Brummie Dude. It is the 2nd photo
in the the post. I paid £1.00 for each lamp. I did not know
how these would hang or what it looked like.

Thanks Martin.

Theres a really old 1950s radio shop in kent that has these lights fitted and wired up throughout the shop all the different styles, i asked him how much they are but he said there not for sale there the shp fixtures there new old stock really thats only ever been on display in the shop they look really good i can see why he wont sell them , ive been collecting these for 10 years and have them as the outside lanterns around the outside of my house they look beautiful at night

I recently rescued three Peter Marsh light fittings. I spotted them being discarded and recognised them not as PM but as being the same as our neighbours had when I was a child in the 1970’s. It was only when I started to clean them up that I found the PM stamp on them. Until then I had no idea that PM had ever made lamps without the rock glass shades, which I have always admired since I was a very small child. I’ve never ever managed to find or see a catalogue so although I’ve had a couple of rock glass PM lamps for many years, that was the only style I was aware of until now. I’ve now fully cleaned up and rewired the three fittings I rescued and installed one of them in my hallway. The other two are destined for the landing when I next have that decorated. I’ve added some photos below to give a bit of an idea of the state as I got them and the end result. A soft brass-bristled brush and some beeswax on a duster worked wonders. The only missing bit is the bulb-holder cover for the 3rd lamp on the three-arm fitting. I fitted modern cloth-covered twisted flex but I think originally it was probably PVC insulated black “zip” flex, not sure if anyone here can confirm that, but I can’t get that for mains use now anyway. I have had to fit an additional brass nut and bolt under the scroll where the arm is welded to the wall plate to fasten an earth connection to, but this cannot be seen unless you turn the fitting upside down and know what to look for.
