Perry Barr postcards

Looks brilliant on the phone. This type of photo is absolute gold. FYI the warwickshirerailways website is being cloned every six months by the British Library for future reference as part of their digital archive project whilst the HMRS have also agreed to be it's long term custodian to keep its content available for the future. This means your support will benefit generations to come.
Many thanks

I think you have some of mine of hockley demolition time
Mike
I hadn't forgotten. I try to work along a route so I am nearly finished. I have just got Monument Lane to do next and then I will start working my way along the GWR route into Snow Hill from the Wolverhampton direction.

No surprise Nick, it doesn't have a striking frontage. Judging by the old photo above, it's never really had a significant entrance and yet it is an 1830s station and must once have been very busy. Viv.
Thanks Viv. I seem to remember the railway lines at the far side of Perry hall playing fields so presume these would have been the main line to/from Perry Barr station.

My sincere thanks to everyone supplying photos etc of Perry Barr station.

I have now added captions to the photographs which can be seen, with others, at https://www.warwickshirerailways.com/lms/perrybarr.htm

Its only through your kind effort and support that we could expand our knowledge of the station. Would you kindly provide me with a name so that I can add it as a credit to the relevant photo.

If larger scans become available please let me know so that I zoom into more detail. My email address is mikemusson@hotmail.com

It would be great to receive any other photos of this and other Birmingham Stations too.

Many thanks

Mike
