Form The 1911 to The 1921 Censures shows the address as 33, Barford Road. In August 1916 it was announced that Private Sidney Cowley, Clara’s son had died of wounds while serving with the Gloucester Regiment. Another brother had been killed two months before, and a third was serving in the forces.

In 1913 S. Crowley was the Sectretary of Rotton Para Juniors and address given as 33, Barford Road. This could well be Clara's son
Sidney as he would be about 18 at the time.

Hi Thanks for the replies
I have all the info on the 2 brothers sadly killed in ww1.
Clara Pennell death is a mystery to us. We've been to the archives and nothing there either.

Just wondered if there were any other Pennells on here.

Thanks again

May not help but Clara was married at Christ Church Parish Church (Established Church) Summerfield. From 1891 she seems to have stayed in the same house.
What is the closest C of E cemetery to Barford Road, which is close to Edgbaston Resr.
