Hello,
I'm looking for my Grandmother's family.
Her name was Irene Pearson born 1921 in Aston. Mothers surname Morris. Last known address before coming to Canada 104 Blake Lane, Small Heath.
Worked in a munitions factory during the war. Married my Grandad John Joseph McCafferty (Jack) December 26 in 44/45?
Looking through sites possibility of two sisters named Elsie and Florence. Known that Grandma had at least 3 siblings male and female.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sheila

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. Your info matches mine. Grandma and Grandad met and married in Birmingham during the war.....I know its December 26th for sure....could have been 43,44 or 45? She came to Canada Sept 1946.
I think she may have been staying with a sister and brother in-law (last known address in UK) but that is pure speculation on my part. Some records I've come across I see two possible sisters? DOB 1912 AND 1914 Elsie and Florence?

Grandad was born here in Canada Edmonton Alberta....

Hi sheila

Found the marriage --

John J McCafferty/Irene Pearson 4th qtr 1941 Birmingham 6d 1392

I would suggest you send for this and the birth certificate --

Irene Pearson mmn Morris 1st qtr 1921 Aston 6d 872

Marriage cert will give you where they was living at the time and fathers names. Her birth cert will give you both parents names and her mothers maiden name, where they lived and then you can post those details on here and we could find their marriage. Both these are Birmingham so you could order them from here, scroll to bottom of page --

Or this site, covers whole country --
