Park Mills Manufactory gets a mention in at least two Forum Threads. Viv provided the advert of 1877 for AW Wills in post 9 of the Mount Street Thread. It can be traced back to before 1857 when a description of a sale shows it was a significant enterprise. The area has now changed beyond recognition.

Park Mills may have been earlier known as Nechell’s Park Mill, and according to Victoria Conty History was a blade mill before 1746.

From 1746-47 Aston Furnace, Bromford Forge and the Nechells Park slitting mill leased together to Abraham Spooner and Edward Knight.

1768 leases renewed; the mill explicitly named Nechells Park Mill and described as formerly a blade mill.

By 1816 Bromford Forge and Park Mill operated together by Spooner and Finch. The partnership dissolved in Oct 1816.
 
March 1904, proposed changes to the River Rea. Soon after the mill would be drained and replaced by the recreation ground.
