Can't be sure if this Paradise Street view has been shown on this thread before, as so many images are missing. Would that be Hill Street leading down on the left ? For comparison, see the Charles Rudd painting (c1840s) below. I think the building in the B&W image is the same as that on the right (terracotta coloured) behind the carriage in the Rudd painting. It was once a very elegant street with plenty of architectural variety.
