Great article. Thanks for posting it.I’m starting this thread as I don’t seem to be able to find one dealing with the historical aspects of this street. This clipping from the Birmingham Mail describes a street that would be unimaginable today.

A bit earlier as Christ Church was pulled down in 1899. I have a fascination
for that building, and would have loved to see it, but I guess if I had been around
then I would probably also have seen the horrors of WW1. You can't have everything !
