Parade in Broad Street

A military parade of some sort in Broad Street. To the left of the Masonic Temple there is a banner, which I have enlarged and tried to sharpen. It could say "Something " FROM BIRMINGHAM, or something else completely

I recall watching a parade at that spot at the end of WW2. i would be nine at the time.

A lot of Birmingham papers are not on for 1946 and I haven't been able to find any photos of that particuar parade but there is one report

I remember a big parade down Broad st. lots of people lining the road, army trucks and the forces involved even sticks in my mind the Dagenham girl pipers took part, l left ladywood in 1956 so it was must have been early 50,s. I would have been too young in 1946.
