A bit of long read but my blog on the causes of overcrowding and the people who found themselves living in "Slumland" in the 1880's and the response to it by the Birmingham Health Committee and Council.
This period really fascinates me, and I understand probably the information I write about in my blog will not be new information to many of you. If anybody though can add any further information or any images of overcrowding of back-to-back housing for late 1800's (or drawings) that I could use with your permission, I would be very grateful. Thank you Andy
