Just started to explore this. There's a lot here including some closed lines. It is scalable like the NLS mapping.

Top right is a box with three horizontal lines - click and you can see a search box into which you can put place names.

Just started to explore this.

Thanks for that link. Just had a look at an old line that was near where we lived in Somerset. Unfortunately when the tracks disappeared, it became an unofficial tip from over the little bridge into the cutting below . Mattresses, fridges, anything really. Probably some interesting antiques in there, it was already a tip when we moved there in '83.

Was also surprised at the extent of the mapping. It also shows an old line near where we are now that is currently being converted into a walkway / cycleway. That will be interesting, it includes a very long tunnel with curves so it will be quite a time before one can see the light at the end. Particularly for walkers, who wouldn't normally carry torches.

That's very disappointing when people tip. In Worcestershire gateways, fields and footpaths together with canals have the same issue. Some of it is undoubtedly trade waste.

I was delighted to see the Harborne line which is a cycle and walkway in Birmingham.
