Can anyone point me in the right direction for old photos of houses in and around Gt Barr St ?

Great Barr St ran from Watery Lane to Liverpool St in the district of Bordesley. Which is sandwiched between Small Heath and Deritend,

The thing I remember most about Great Barr St was that in the times I remember there were not many houses at all. I suppose that some were bombed out during the war.

On the one side there was Canning's factory that took up most of the street from Glover St to Little Barr St (see photo). they were reasonably new premises in the 50's So I would imagine there was previously housing there before it was built.

Dr Sankarayya was our Dr when I lived in Small Heath
A former Gurkha military Dr ....a little gruff in manner, but a good Dr......Dr Bamford...far more easy going ....his father was involved with Schools Dental Service near Hobmoor Rd. Our family from Gt Barr St [we went to Ada Rd School] moved to Aubrey Rd / Coventry Rd around 1956 [we then went to Waverley Grammar School].
