Not sure if this is the right forum.....I am searching for my brothers grave. All I know was that he was buried in the cemetery that was attached to the priests training college at Old Oscott. He was only two months old when he died in Dec 1950 so not sure if he was buried in 1950 or 1951...
details.....Michael Thomas Brady
DOD 28 Dec 1950
Not sure of his DOB as I'm having problems finding it

...Cheers

Hi Mannanan

Here are the birth and death registrations --

Birth
Michael T Brady mmn Redmond 4th qtr 1950 Birmingham 9c 710

Death
Michael T Brady 4th qtr 1950 Birmingham 9c 390

If you know your mothers maiden name you will know if the birth is the correct one.
The entrance to the cemetery is in Court Lane just off the Chester Road.

Wow....Spot on that's the one......I've been searching for his birth cert but couldn't find it just like I can't find my wife's and she's definitely still alive. Somehow I managed to find his death cert and have just received it in the post. Now all I need is some idea as to where he is buried. When growing up 'cause Michael was the first born and died at such an early age nothing was ever mentioned except that he was buried in with a priest at Old Oscott cemetery. Anyway thanks for the other stuff.....Great site this.............

There will be a register showing the location of the burial My Grandfather and at least two of my uncles are buried there.

Good hunting.

Many thanks for all the replies. Looks like I've quite a bit to be getting on with. I will of course get back to you to inform you as to how I'm getting on......Must say....I've only been on this site a couple of weeks and the help I've received is fantastic. Thank you.

Bren a great big thank you. Gave the cemetery a call and within five minutes they were back with the answer that I was hoping...That they had located my brothers grave. This feels great as it will mean I will, when I'm over in England again., visit the grave for the first time......THANKS:D:D:D:D:D

Yes it is great news isn't it and I wouldn't have been able to find it without the help of all you great people. Will be next visiting in June so I'll pop in and have a look then. No stone marking the grave but have plot number etc so I'll just lay some flowers there. Thanks again for all your help......this is such a good site....
