Next not mentioned previously but sure to bring back memories Yates Wine Lodge and Bottle department possibly number 17 Corporation Street, rather an imposing entrance

Went into Yates's a few times not the bottle dept, a couple or three dock's of Australian white and yippee we'were away . A good snooker hall upstairs too with 3 or 4 tables and the novelty chalk suspended by string from the ceiling .

Ciro of Bond Street and J Marks Furriers, and the entrance to Princes Chambers, note the ornamental entrance and I imagine gold lettering on the windows on the first floor. Went in there once there was the old - to me, iron work lift that you opened and closed the doors yourself and could see out of.

Ist premises that looks empty to the left of the Odeon , every Thursday night in the 60's after getting paid and playing a game of snooker ,we'd call in there at that time it was a Wimpey store a coffee and a burger . No Macdonalds in those days yippee
