Old Barley Mow - Lost Pub

Gosia

New Member
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Old Barley Mow Pub on the corner of Northwood Street and Mary Street in Jewellery Quarter. I am after any historical photos of this pub and the area, and would hugely appreciate if anyone could share any related material.

I attach plan from 1889.

Thank you!

It disappears from Kellys between 1921 & 1932. No 51 Northwood St disappears from the electoral roll between 1930 and 1935

Thanks All, really appreciate everyone's input.
Shame there is so little information about that pub, although if anyone has any historical photos of the area as well, that's both Mary Street & Northwood Street, that they could share, that would be fantastic!
I'll keep searching for the mysterious Old Barley Mow in the meantime.

always worth looking for photos of mary st and northwood st as they may also show the pub..i will keep my eyes open for you i am also going to slightly change the title of this thread and place it under the pubs section of the forum as it will have more viewings there
