Ogham stones are mainly found in Ireland and Wales. An unusual find in the Midlands, the finder suggests that the river Sowe might have been used to transport it.

The Ogham Stone is exhibited in the Herbert Art Gallery in Coventry. Visitors can see it on display in ‘Collecting Coventry’ until 27 April 2025.

I’ll be sure to make the trip.
