My old neighbour is 85 years old, she heard me talking abou the members who help with research on this forum. She asked me to see if I could find out anything about her dad. His name was Tom or Thomas Nolan, born in 1896-7. My neighbour was born at the familys house in New Summer St. around 1925-6.
 
i think this is they stitcher in the 1911 census. living 17 court 8 house lower tower st. bham

edmund nolan 55 iron foundry labourer b. county tipperary ireland
jane nolan 54 b. county tipperary ireland
kate 21 brass hinge maker b. lancs.
ellen 19 brass hinge maker b. lancs
mary 17 brass swivel maker b. lancs
eliza 16 brass swivel maker b. lancs
THOMAS 14 born bham
jane 12 b. bham

edmund and jane had been married for 28 yrs they had had 8 children all surviving
 
in 1918 thomas nolan was listed on absent voters list (residence 2 brighton place, new summer st. ) 28411 2nd royal warwickshire regiment.

in 1920 he was at same address with edward nolan and jane nolan

in 1925 and 1930 he is listed at 74 new summer st. with lucy nolan

hope this is the right one!
 
if its the correct one the marriage was thomas nolan to lucy rowson 1923 apr-jun birmingham 6d 751
 
Shera, thanks a million for that, the old dear gets confused and I know she will treasure this bit of information.
A few months ago you found out several things about my family and I told you to make uourself known to me and I would get you a dring at the 6os night. I thought you were not there because no one said anything to me. I now see from the photos that you were at The Stag so you missed a drink there as well. I will get it next time we meet.
