New web site dedicated to Birmingham and the West Midlands in the Great War

Alan, some web site feedback.

I have done a little bit of web design, and when I went to your web page I thought it was just the one page, it did not seem that your page linked to other pages.

Then I looked at the source and realised all the text in the centre of the page are links, but it is not obvious from looking at them.

It may be worth making some changes, or adding some text, to make those links look more like links.

It is also a good idea to have a standard font on a web site, rather than a mix of fonts, as it makes it more pleasant to look at and read.

Have a good trip David. It is always nice to get away from the woes of our football teams!

Guilbert53 - you are right of course. But I have done exceptionally well to get this far as a complete amateur. In the software I am using to build the site I could not find how to make the links more prominent and did not bother with customer support. When I update offline I will try to sort out that issue. For me the important thing was to make the information more available. When I look at any web site I never take in any information about how 'pretty' it looks as long as I can find what I am looking for.

I thought it was a great site, have to say the different fonts don't bother me as long as the content is intersting, but nearly missed the links.
Well done Alan, I couldn't have done that.
Sue

I think the point Guilbert may have been making Alan is not so much one of prettiness but of readability. People with reduced visibility can have problems if fonts change over much.

That said it is a great achievement and a good resource so a big well done from me.
