New John Street West & New John Street

The last census was 2021 but the last published census that you can browse and search, and see details of your ancestors is the 1921.

ERs are available up to the near present but they don't contain the information that a census does. Other records are available online (including Irish) making it much easier than it used to be to trace ancestors.

Thank you MWS... guess im going to be busy in the cold dark winter months researching etc. ha ha.

Can anybody say what number New John Street West this was in 1880? Any what street/Road was it in junction with?
Rob T
The date is somewhat out, as this clipping shows. It states that he started in 1886, . only moved to the New John St address in 1893. He is first listed in Kellys in the 1890 edition at the Summer Lane address (year is publication date, not date of survey) . He is listed in the 1895 Kellys at 389 . It is on the corner of hospital St

mike i think it would have been here where the old box carton factory was

This is the old Box Carton works - just with cladding around the upper floor. One of our next door neighbors used to work there - at Christmas she would send us a gift taped with their reinforced tape which you needed a knife or scissors to open!
