Naturalisation records

Does anyone have any information about how to access information regarding the naturalisation of incoming immigrants in the 19th century? I have tried to access information on the National Archives web site but with no luck, I wondered if anyone has had any success in this field.

If you go to Cindys List, Google it, and type Immigration and Naruralization into the search box there is lots of info.

On the 1841 census my ancestor is just listed as 'foreigner'. I have been told he was born in Scotland. He was married in Alcester in 1826 and died c1844. Is there any way I can find out for certain where he was born?
