very moving Dave, brilliant photo, although saddened on my visit recently, I did find this part of the site , very humbling, so much so that even though it is outside, when I found my old comrades/mates names, I removed my head gear.paul
Hi Dave, Understand they have put a placque on the Suez site, containing the names of the Regiments and units envolved !In the latest News Letter there is a List; Cheers now;
12th April 2014 unveiling of the Battle Of The River Plate Memorial, at the National Memorial Arboretum. Four River Plate Vets, John Garrard and Ted Wicks who served in HMS Ajax, Jim London and Basil Trott who served in HMS Exeter.
