National Memorial Arboretum

Good news the water has receded & the river is below bank level so the river path is accessible & the woodland areas are walkable with boots or wellies, I didn't sink in at all in the woods & I am quite a big bloke.
lots & lots of visitors & from today the car park prices are lower at £1.50 per day.
A great place to visit.

It's awful I have never seen the floods so bad. The River Anchor burst at Alrewas such a pity but I am sure everything will be fine. I can't remember the river bursting there before.
Hi Wendy, I have lived a bit longer than you ,and can never remember such a wet yearThe experts on Global Warming said it would give us desert conditions, I spent three years in the Middle East and can not remember it being this wet! Take care now Bernard.

Today at the NMA, snowing at times, with a cold wind.

Was quite an experience.

One minute it was sunny, then it rained a bit, then the sun came out again (and so on).
Quite breezy.

Took loads of photos of the memorials.

I even found one from the Birmingham Children's Hospital (a sculpture) near the River Tame.

Some photos I've got up so far of the memorials

Berlin Airlift Memorial

The Polar Bear Memorial

Auxiliary Territorial Service statue
