Nash Family, Browning Street Ladywood

Hi, got one detail wrong in my ist post. My Dad Fred NASH and his Mum Amelia (used to work at Misto works), his Dad Fred (also). They live at 10 back of 50 Browning Street when he was growing up early 40's. He went to St Barnabas, and later worked at Bellis & Morcom.
He said that the alleyway that led up the back of Browning street was nicknamed "Rose Alley" !
Dad had a friend whose Dad had a coal business in Browning street.
Eventually Dad became the eldest of 11 kids.

Hi

My father - Henry Nash - son of Fred Nash, brother of Fred Nash, brother-in-Law of Amelia and uncle to the eleven siblings listed; married my mother Louisa Fragnoli in 1949.

Mom and Dad lived with Fred's widow Emma (Lilley) in the Back-to-Back house in 'Rose Alley' for a few months before moving to Smethwick. While living with Emma Nash mom became good friends with Amelia. Though I do not think that dad got on well with his brother Fred. (Rather a lot of Fred's in this thread!)

I was born in 1953 and was their only child - which makes me Sue's second-cousin and cousin to her dad Fred.

John Nash
