my family snaps

Nice natural photo,Maggs, every time I have been in Yarmouth the wind was blowing,it's clearly not on this photo.
Trust you didn't lose your camera...like an old fool I know.

No Ray I wouldn't have dared lose the camera for fear of death. Glad you liked the pics. Yes I know someone good at losing camera's!!!!

Here's one of me with my doll, Mom, my sister and my auntie, on holiday in Llandudno in 1943.

All very nice photo's.Why is it you girls were all going to exotic places.I only went as far as my little legs would carry me,on my bike.

Poor Ray, well let's hope things have improved for you then. Anyway whoever said Gt Yarmouth was exotic? Mind you we did always get good weather.

Some great photos in this thread.

Here's one of my dad, my younger brother and myself at Weston 1963ish... I always had to pull a face on holiday photos...it was the law! :D

The other one is myself, my brother and a friend in Blackford St. Winson Green.

It's funny Maggs, but it always seemed to be good weather when we went on holiday in those days :) Our exotic holidays were usually in Weston Super Mare or Llandudno!

I bet you found some quite exotic places to go to on your bike rides as well, Ray! My bike rides were usually to the Bluebell Woods somewhere up Hampstead Road I think!!?

Exotic bike rides...The longer my legs grew the further I travelled,so I suppose it did get more exotic."Up the cut" from Aston too Tamworth, and then...foreign parts...WALES...don't know exacly where, my money ran out,so had to return to England.:walesflag:

Eric thank you so much for that. I have a four generation photo in my box somewhere and I must make an effort to sort it out. Jean.

Here are a couple of photos taken at Hidson Road in 1946. My two brothers Peter and Bill and myself along with a photo of the family. I can remember sitting for these photos. The photographer came from Small Heath according to the stamp on the photos.

Lovely photos Wendy of you and your brothers. Great memories so cherished. The tin hat photos are very good...amazing how attractive everyone looks in those hats.

Not all family. This was taken in our back garden in Tyburn Rd about 1956ish. Our Boxer, Maxi, me and Alison, daughter of Mom & Dad's best friends. The dog loved ice cream!
