Hello Astonian, I've just come across your message for me and very pleased to hear from you again (I had given up) and I'm really sorry to hear that you've been ill, I hope that you're ok now and on the road to a full recovery, you must take it easy as I'm sure you know! There's no need to ask me to forgive you for your abscence, it's me who should be asking you as I thought you were just one of the cranks who say they have conections and can help, which gets you excited and then you never hear from them again!! It can be a real disappointment after researching for many years, so a big thank you! RE - the Murphys, you have been very helpful and could I trouble you further, how old would Jack and John be now? My Auntie remembers visiting them in the 1940's when she was about 18, she says he was a lot older, apparently he did come down to Wales some time she remembers on a 'motor bike'. I think that one of them was born to my Grandmother Selina (james) Murphy in 1911/2, so maybe he's not around now? The other Jack/John would be his son then? Do you think it's worth me contacting 'The Ship' or 'The George', can't think what else to do? Many thanks to you and take care of yourself

Hi Mary
Hope You Are Well I Was Wondering What May Have Happened To You
And Whether Or Not You Got My Thread
On The Subject Of You Phoneing These Pubs It May be ,Or Not Trying To Phone These Pubs To Try And Speak With Jack Whom Uses These Pubs
On Friday ,And Saturday ,And Sundays Only But I Do Not Know Whether These Two Pubs Are Still There,And Neither Do I Know Whether They Still Do The Enterainment Up Stairs I Am Going To Acocks Green On Saturday Evening
So I Could PopInto Our Old Pub The Red Lion And See Some Old Faces Whom Know Jack And John , Freinds Of Theres Are The The McCabes , And John Bulldog , But Most People There Knew Them Both, On The Subject Of Phoneing Those Pubs Would Be Sunday Lunch Time At The Red Lion
And Ask For Them Both , Or On Saying That There Is Another Newish Pub Had Just Openened UP Across The Road From The Red Lion ,And That Is
Called Weather spoons ,And It Is Directly Facing It , You Could Put A Call There Sunday Lunch time And Asked For Them There , I Promise You I Will Go Down To The The Red Lion On Saturday Evening Because My Daughter As Moved Back To B,ham From Worcestshire And She Her Self Is Now In Dolphin
Lane Acocks Green And Its A Mile FromThe Pub , So If YouCan Hang On In There I,LL Make Enquires For You But She May Be Able To HELP You Out There , Okay Mary , I,ll Get Her To Check On Jacks And See If She Can Do The B,ham Directory For You And Where She Lives It,s About Half A Mile FromHer House Which Is OLTON Solihull
Either Sunday Evening Or Monday I Will Contact You Again , Mary , Okay ,
But Rest Assured We Are On About The Same Family Believe ME,
Best Wishes Astonian , Have A Nice Week end ,
