Hi all,

Looking for info on the following:
- Owen Murphy (born in Ireland, moved to Birmingham area) // guesstimated birth year 1900-1905
- Annie Murphy, maiden name Davey, married Owen // assuming born in Birmingham area) // guesstimated birth year 1900-1905
- Doris Murphy, born to Owen and Annie // guesstimated birth year 1920-1925
- Thomas W W Cox, married Doris
- Maureen Cox, born to Doris and Thomas // not looking for info on her, I can just call her. Just have her to flesh out the family tree for info

I'd like to find out:
- Owen's parents and birth place in Ireland
- Where Owen moved to Birmingham area
- When Owen and Annie married, and if marriage certificate would list their parents so I could find Owen's Irish birth certificate
- Where Owen and Annie lived

just had a quick look and on the 1939 eve of war register i can find an owen murphy born 31st oct 1903 living in shared accommodation at victoria road aston with 4 other men...owen is down as married but no sign of a wife...looks like owen works for the public works dept..will keep searching as yet cant find a marriage between owen murphy and annie davey however i am only searching the birmingham area

That Doris on 1921 with parents Owen and Annie but neither are Irish.
May I ask where original info came from?

Something doesn't seem to add up here. I aassume that like most of us you are working backwards.
So Maureen Cox and Thomas marrying Doris Murphy are known facts.
I also imagingine that Doris's prents are an Owen and Annie Murphy but... wonder where the name Davey came from?
Unless Doris was born in Ireland as well then the Doris that Lyn and I have found on the 1921 census was born in 1910 with mmn Gough.

Do you know if Doris had any siblings as this might help?

This seems to indicate we have the right person. Has a daughter Maureen so it fits

Not much in the op appears to be correct but that's the fun of genealogy.

Owen appears to have been born in Bham (possibly Windsor St), father in Coventry and mother in Bham. So might have to go back to his grandfather to find the Irish roots.

Annie Louisa Gough appears to have been from Herefordshire (Leominster).
