Hi just wondering if the golf ball factory in bromford road became a munitions factory durring the war or if there was one somewhere near to there. Remember my mom telling me that she had worked in munitions putting fuses into bombs there when we passed it on the bus and wondering if I understood correctly. She worked later at Dunlops but I think she was swayed by the money as it was quite a dangerous job. Apparently they encouraged them to smoke during breaks so they would clear out their lungs and not cough and drop the bombs.
