Sorry, I hadn't read your newest post. So you know Nick Poll - he's a real expert and enthusiast.
Odd that it's still on the DVLA database . I wonder how many other vehicles are on there with out of date info?
 
I've now discovered (some readers probably already know this) , that Handley's motorcycle shop was run by Graham Handley who opened a motorcycle business originally in Suffolk Street. Graham was the nephew of Aston -born Walter Handley who was a champion TT m/c racer in the thirties. Walter died in WW II in a plane crash.

Hi Alan, The car was rebuilt twice after I did it and the colour changed, not sure if it was all relevant to the year. Did you happen to live in Redditch? I called on a guy there named Alan with a Schmitt
 
Yes that's me Brian ! I was beginning to get vague memories of someone visiting me that had his car restored by Nick Poll. I think Nick still lived in England at the time but he has lived in France for many years now. I probably had the blue Kr200 XYH 200 then but after owning it for 25 years I sold it to a club member and fellow Messerschmitt Foundation of Great Britain trustee. It's a small world.

I remember it on a "bench" in the garage, I also moved to France for many years and then back to Devon
