MOORE Arthur and Martha Ann Davies

Mudpie77

A Good Brummie
I am still seeking the descendants of Arthur MOORE and his wife Martha Ann MOORE [ nee: DAVIES ].

The family lived at 33 Bourne Road, Aston, between 1924 and 1939.

I am also interested in a Gertrude Martha MOORE, who lived at 33 Bourne Road between 1935 and 1939.

So if anyone can help, I would be very grateful.

Re: Arthur MOORE and Martha Ann Davies

Hi Mudpie 77 - I was really interested to read the responses from people on your thread - particularly when Tewkesbury popped up. My dad's family were Moore & they came from Tewkesbury. I wonder if we are related in some way. My Moore's lived mostly in Church Street & were carpenters, brick makers, or labourers, & such. Can't remember them all just now. Perhaps we should keep in touch.

What do you think ....

Millie,

So you were really interested to read the
responses from all the good people on here.
You say that your dad's family were Moore & they came from Tewkesbury.
I wonder if there might be a connection also.
As you can see, Benjamin lived in Chance Street in 1861. And his son was at 66 High Street, Gloucester in 1901.
You say your Moore's lived mostly in Church Street, and were carpenters, brick makers, and
labourers. I have none of those yet, but it is early days.... If you want to keep in touch,
then email me at What do you think of that idea ?

Hello Mudpie, I have removed your email from open forum and sent it to Millie by IM.
We discourage members from posting there email address on posts due to the fact that from time to time we are plagued by spammer's and other unsavory type people. There is always a risk when posting personal info' on the net that the wrong folk may decide to use it.

Good luck with you family research

Re: Arthur MOORE and Martha Ann Davies

Thanks Mudpie77, I've had a look through my stuff and so far haven't found an Arthur but I know there was lots of Moore in Tewkesbury, so it could be there is a very extended family (or maybe not related). Tewkesbury was a small place, so I think there must be some connection, even if it goes back a long way. I'll get a bit better info together, and email you to see what we have that might be similar, if that's OK.

Thanks Pomgolian, for your help too.
