Midland Red

Rosemary Oldridge

proper brummie kid
This newspaper article (undated) was sent to me by a member of the Trigg family, who now lives in Vermont. The remarkable, long service by members of the Trigg family with the Midland Red must surely be a record. I would be very interested to discover if anyone has any more information about the date of the photograph, which publication it comes from and when the Midland Red Pershore Road route was established. The name Trigg is mentioned in this thread:

Museum shop find - Ian Allan Midland Red ABC guide from 1962 - I liked this as its the same age as me (and in better condition....) - 2/6 in old money, or a quid when I bought it - contains nice Midland Red History, garage list, lots of photos and a lovely route map:-

Please let me know if anyone wants to see the list of routes and route numbers.
Apologies for the slightly crooked scanning and the occasional pen lines - looks like the original owner of this wonderful little book was a genuine bus-spotter who love to "tick off" every service and bus he had been on!
