Looking for Mckenna family in particular a Mary McKenna who died 1918, no idea of her maiden name, in her will she only mentions her 2 sons by name but states other children but not by name. Henry James born c1884 and John Joseph bc1886. I have information on this family from WW1 onwards but nothing to locate them on the 1911 census or previous.
Mary lived at Endwood Court Rd, Handsworth Wood. in Birmingham at time of death. Just wondered if anyone has any connections to this family. Also a link to Chrissie/Christina and a boarding house in later years. But looking for earlier information pre. WW1

No info to offer on Mary . I'm trying to find out more about a Catherine Mary McKenna who was married in Birmingham in 1886 to John Charles Nevitt. Catherine had a brother, Peter McKenna, who ran an 'antique' shop out of 176 Bromsgrove Street for decades. If anyone has info on either Catherine or Peter that would be fab. :)

Possibly had 2 further brothers and a sister. Birthplaces vary

On the 1891 census both Peter and Catherine appear to be living on Gooch St. Their birthplaces are listed as Manchester and Stockport.

Other 3 siblings - Teresa, Joseph and James - are with Peter. Teresa possibly marries an Alfred Davis/Davies in 1891 and her father is listed as Joseph.

Hi MWS. Wow, that was quick and really helpful too. Thank you. I'm really keen to understand that part of the family better. Interestingly, some of Catherine's children go out to Canada in the early 1900s but name their uncle Peter McKenna as their next of kin rather than their father John Charles Nevitt. That's so intriguing.

The web page is fantastic btw. What a mine of shared information. Congratulations.
