Havent been able to find much on google.
Could anyone help?

Thanks so much

Sam - try other search engines as Google seems to prioritise in such a way that commercial sites get undue prominence. I searched and searched for an ex colleague on Google to no avail but found him first go on Lycos.

I've searched the forums for these photographers but can't find anything maybe you can help:
Geo Hynd, Kings Heath
E J Edwards 37 Dolobran Rd, Sparkbrook
T Pope 86 New Street

TIA

Have found the following:
1899-1905 Hynd George, hair dresser & photographer, High street, King's heath.
1908 Hynd,George, hairdresser, Kings Heath .
Not listed 1897 or 1912.
No number given for Hynd’s place, which was between York Road & Silver St, but from businesses in 1912, when these buildings were numbered it must have been at 110, 112 or 112A., possibly upstairs,or round the back

1899-1904 Edwards Edwin John,photographer,37 Dolobran rd.Sparkbrk
Not listed 1897 or 1905

Did not find a T Pope between 1876 and 1912, But, as I understand it , artists sometimes took on photography to make some money (though still looking down on it), and, although the initial and exact building is not the same , I did find the following, which is very close to 86 New St.

1878-1908 Pope. Henry , artist , (no 19 Educational chambers) at 90 New St
Not listed 1876 or 1912

That is wonderful, thank you so much!

T Pope was down as artist and photographer, at 'Town Hall Chambers' 86 New Street, and it says 'opposite the society of artists'.

Very depressingly, his tagline is 'Secure the shadow, before the substance fade'!!

Hi, turns out T Pope was a little earlier than I'd thought - found on another forum:

The photographer was probably Tom Pope, artist and photographer, who had a studio in Town Hall Chambers, 86 New Street. He is listed in Birmingham Directories for 1875, 1878 and 1879.

That makes that one the earliest photo we have.
