Marsh Hill Girls Grammar Tech School

Thanks for trying Linda. Afraid I can't offer any advice on uploading, but maybe someone on here will know.

I see Keith Evans is named as leading the folk songs on the B side of the record. I seem to remember him playing guitar, but don't know if he also played it on the recording.

Funny, bet few of the younger generation wouldn't know what an 'A' side and a 'B' side was ?!!

True just doing sone research on Margaret Pasqetti, I always thought it was spelt with a u ....I'll let you know if I get any response.
This is all I have so far.
Margaret Pasquetti (often spelled Pasqetti) is a former competitive track and field athlete who competed for the prestigious Birmingham-based athletics club, Birchfield Harriers.
Athletic Background
Club Affiliation: She trained and competed with Birchfield Harriers in Birmingham, UK.
Education: She attended Marsh Hill Girls Technical Grammar School in Birmingham during the mid-to-late 1960s. Peers from her school years remember her as a highly talented, standout athlete.
Further Studies: Following her school years, she pursued higher education to study Physical Education (PE) at college.
International Record: Representing Ireland internationally, she set a national record in the javelin throw on July 23, 1972, in Banteer, throwing a distance of 116 feet 10 inches (35.61 meters)

Oh wow! Update:

Just found out after breaking an 8 year record Margaret only held it for 1 year as it was broken the following year by our very own Sandra O'Toole!

Sandra O'Toole her career-best highlight in the event is a silver medal throw of 48.98 meters.
She achieved this mark at the 1977 Women's AAA (WAAA) National Championships, finishing as the runner-up behind future Olympic champion Tessa Sanderson.
Her noted athletic milestones include:
    • 1971: Set an English Schools Athletic Championship record in the junior category with a throw of 33.22 meters while representing Warwickshire.
    • 1977: Recorded her major senior podium placement at the WAAA National Championships with her 48.98-meter throw.
    • Club Representation: Competed domestically for the Birmingham-based athletics club, Lozells
    How talented were these girls!

Interesting!
Margaret was in the same year as me. I knew she was a Birchfield Harrier.
Some of us met up for a meal in Sutton Coldfield back in the 70s and Margaret had us in stitches telling us how she had, by chance, met up with Mrs Cockbain (in a GP surgery I think it was) and Mrs C invited her to visit her! We all said...you should go Margaret

I didn't personally know Margaret, but I remember her always laughing or smiling. It's hard to imagine Mrs C inviting students to visit her. I think she presented as the stern Head at school but probably a softer person off-duty. Wonder if Margaret visited her ? Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall !!
