Hello,

I'm curious about any further details that might exist for a marriage that is listed on the IGI.

The details available on the IGI are as follows:

John Newman
Martha Bashford
10 Nov 1833 Saint Martin, Birmingham, Warwick

Many thanks.

as you know, before 1837 there wasnt much more recorded on the records.

the date you have is correct. they were bachelor and spinster and of this parish. the witness was eliza gee. thats about all im afraid

Ok thanks for that. Every little scrap is useful. :)

John and Martha Newman live on Beech Lane on the 1851 with Sarah Bashford, and they are next to Sarah and Richard on the 1841 census too, so I think there is quite a good match between the post 1837 and pre 1837 records, and that gives me enough confidence to add these people to my tree.
